This Policy applies to: rozano.com, rozano.ca, web forms, email communications, business relationships with retailers, and other processing of personal information.
1. Preamble and Commitment
Rozano places great importance on protecting the personal information of consumers, retailers, and anyone else we interact with. This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes the personal information we collect, the purposes for which we use it, who we share it with, how we protect it, and the rights you may exercise.
This Policy complies with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (CQLR, c. P-39.1), as amended by Law 25, and with other applicable Canadian laws.
By using our website, filling out our forms, or interacting with Rozano in any other way, you acknowledge having read this Policy.
2. Privacy Officer
In accordance with Law 25, Rozano has designated a Privacy Officer responsible for compliance:

3. Personal Information We Collect
Depending on your relationship with Rozano, we may collect different types of personal information.
3.1 Consumers (warranty claim, information request):
- Full name; residential address (street, city, province, postal code); phone number; email address
- Product purchase date; model number and production lot (PL) number; retailer name
- Product photographs (which may contain incidental visual elements of your environment)
- Description of the alleged defect; proof of purchase (invoice, receipt), which may contain payment information
3.2 Retailers and their representatives:
- Legal business name and contact details; NEQ, GST/QST numbers
- Name, title, and contact details of officers and owners
- Banking and credit information (Credit Application); information related to the Personal Guarantee
- Trade references; transaction and payment history
3.3 Website: our site uses no tracking or marketing cookies. To measure traffic we may use a privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics tool (such as Plausible or Fathom) that collects only aggregated, anonymous data (visitor counts, page views, general referral source, device type). Technical server logs (including IP address) may be kept temporarily for security and operations.
4. Purposes of Collection
We never collect more information than necessary for these purposes, and will not use your information for other purposes without your consent, unless the law permits or requires it.

5. How We Collect
- Directly from you, when you fill out a form (claim, RMA, credit application, contact, become-a-retailer request)
- From authorized third parties, for example during a credit check with Equifax Canada or Dun & Bradstreet, with your prior consent
- From your Rozano retailer, who may transmit your information as part of a warranty claim on your behalf, with your consent
6. Sharing Your Information
Rozano does not sell your personal information. We share it only with the following third parties, and only as needed for the identified purposes:

- We may also share your information where required by law (court order, regulatory investigation, etc.) or to protect our rights, our safety, or that of others.
7. Transfers Outside Québec
Some of our service providers are located outside Québec, notably in the United States (Google Workspace) and China (manufacturer). In accordance with Law 25, Rozano assessed the risks of these transfers and put the following measures in place:
- Selection of recognized providers offering contractual security and confidentiality guarantees comparable to Québec requirements
- Limiting transferred information to what is strictly necessary
- Anonymizing data where possible (e.g., file numbers rather than consumer names for the manufacturer)
- Periodic review of providers' privacy practices
8. Retention Periods
When these periods expire, information is securely destroyed or anonymized.

9. Cookies
Our website uses no tracking, advertising, or marketing cookies. For this reason, no cookie consent banner is required on our site.
Only cookies strictly necessary for site operation may be used (retailer portal session, language preference, security). These essential cookies do not track you and do not require consent under the law.
You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies; blocking strictly necessary cookies may however affect some features (such as retailer portal sign-in).
10. Security Measures
Despite these measures, no security system is infallible. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a serious risk of harm, we will notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI) as required by law.
- Strong passwords on all accounts and systems containing personal information
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) on critical accounts
- Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest
- Storage in secure cloud environments; regular backups
- Access limited to people who need it for their duties
- Automatic device locking
11. Your Rights
To exercise your rights, contact our Privacy Officer (section 2). Proof of identity may be required to protect your information.
- Right of access: request the personal information we hold about you (response within 30 days)
- Right of rectification: correction of inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous information
- Right to withdraw consent: at any time where processing relies on your consent
- Right to portability: receive your computerized information in a structured, commonly used format, or request its transfer
- Right to de-indexing and cessation of dissemination, in the circumstances provided by law
12. Minors
Our website and services are not intended for persons under fourteen (14). We do not knowingly collect their personal information without parental or guardian consent. If you believe your child provided us personal information, contact our Privacy Officer so we can delete it.
13. Changes to This Policy
Rozano may amend this Policy at any time. The version in force is always the one published at rozano.com/confidentialite (French) and rozano.com/privacy (English). Reasonable notice will be posted on our website for significant changes.
14. Complaints and Recourse
If you believe Rozano is not complying with this Policy or applicable laws, first contact our Privacy Officer (section 2).
